No sé de donde vino el agua, ni como llegó a nuestro desierto. Ni siquiera sé si tuviste algo que ver con las precipitaciones. Me contenté con contemplar extasiado la efímera explosión de vida y tonos en verde, sabedor de que todo se secaría. Solo quedaron cactus y espinas y la tierra volvió a sumirse en su inevitable letargo.

Dejaste demasiadas semillas. Parece mentira, pero aún quedan unas cuantas, escondidas entre la tierra seca, esperando una nueva agua de Mayo que encienda su fútil esperanza.

When I heard that sentence, it automatically made me wonder: "what is the true currency of the world?". I think the answer is time. In today's fast paced world, people have very little time to devote to one another. Sharing a portion of your daily time with someone, no matter how small, is a way of showing that s/he matters to you. I'll take time over money, anytime.
